History: He was born as the only child of a journeyman harper and his wife. His mother died in childbirth, and his father never remarried. His father saw to his education and sent him to the Harper Hall when he was thirteen. After three years, he has yet to make any advancement in the craft and has begun to wonder if it simply isn't for him, but he doesn't wish to disappoint his father.

Story: Tekumel laid his arms and head upon the table. It had been a rather rough morning, and not even the promise of decent food could lift his mood. All he wished was to disappear into the grain of the wood. He groaned as he heard someone approach. The steps were familiar, but he didn't even want to talk to Diz right now.

"Hey, Tek, how is it going," his chipper friend asked as she seated herself across from him.

Tekumel merely waved her away without lifting his head.

"That bad, huh," she asked in sympathy before shifting. "Well, cheer up! I'll go grab us some lunch, and you'll feel better."

The teen left behind seriously doubted the truth of those words, but he supposed he might as well have lunch.
