History: He was the product of a tryst between his mother and his father, who vanished the next day. It is from his father that he inherited his shifting abilities, frightening his mother half to death when he suddenly became a fish at four years old. He has kept his shifting abilities hidden from everyone at the insistance of his mother and his own good sense, knowing that shifters are not welcomed in most societies. He took a job working at the docks as a teen to help support his mother, but he refuses to hunt or each fish of any kind. So, he works on boxing and transporting goods for merchants instead. He learned sailing from his employer and picked it up with a surprising speed. He has a knack for reading the weather and has helped save the ship he was on from running across storms. After hearing tales of a strange whirlpool forming in the sea, he shifted and went to investigate. Unfortunately, it transported him to the Refugium. After overcoming his shock, he has decided to stay and bond with the hope of having a friend with whom he need not be so reserved. He plans to return home, however, to continue caring for his mother.
